Site Objectives

Discover the key business purpose of your website and how it can serve your business.
What should your website be doing for you?

Six Steps to Success

The secret to building an effective website that contributes to your business is to answer the question, “What should your website be doing for you?”
TheOneStopWeb.shop offers an informal consulting service explicitly designed to discover the best possible answer to that question.
It’s a fast process, easy for you to undertake, and remarkably inexpensive, given the value it delivers. Here’s an overview of the six simple steps...
A team from TheOneStopWeb.Shop investigates a website

1. Investigate

Before our discovery meeting, TheOneStopWeb.Shop looks at what your site is already doing, takes note of your products and services, compares what you’re doing with your competitors, and builds a picture of your company, it’s products, and customers.

2. Discovery

During the 27-minute discovery meeting, we discuss the various roles your website could play in your business and arrive at its key purpose. We then look at different ways your website might perform that role, is currently doing so, and any aspects of the site that aren’t.

3. Analysis

We take the output of the Discovery meeting and analyze your existing website in light of its key purpose. We build on the work done at the end of the Discovery meeting, looking more deeply at what the site is and isn’t doing. We also look for things it currently does that don’t serve its key purpose.
Developing the initial high-level plan

4. Plan

We formulate a content plan for your website that will transform it into a highly focused tool that delivers on its key business purpose. At this point, it’s a high-level plan that eschews in-depth detail, timeframes, budgets, and other practicalities added in step five.

5. Develop

We discuss the content plan from step four with you and your subject matter experts. The purpose is to flesh out and refine the plan, discuss timeframes and budgets, and decide what is and isn’t practical given logistical constraints, finances, industry regulations, and other relevant matters.

6. Implement

Assuming you’re satisfied with the plan and want to proceed, we start rolling out the plan developed during step five. We agreed on the plan’s timeframe during step five, with budget being the primary driver. Longer rollouts typically include regular reviews.
