How does a typical web development project proceed?

The Web Design Timeline

Every new website we create starts with a conversation. Scroll down to see each phase in a typical web development project.

Contract signed

Deposit received
Our contract is signed by you and the initial deposit (40%) is made. The project is now under way!

Design & Content Phase

Structure, fonts, Colours, and topics
The design and content phase includes the design structure of the site’s pages, fonts, colour pallet, a content plan, and application planning (if required).

Design Approval

Second Installment
On approving the designs and content plan, you send the second installment (20%) and authorise the development phase to begin.

Implementation Phase

Content Creation
Content, images, and/or video are created. If applications are required these are built. You periodically review our work and correct misunderstandings.

Testing & Checks

Third instalment
The third instalment (20%) is paid and pre-launch testing and checks begin. We test every web page, internal link, and application to ensure the site works as expected. You will also check the site.

Your Site Goes Live

Final instalment received
Once you give the go ahead and send the final installment (20%) the new site goes live and can now be seen by the public.

Post-live Testing

Final check on the live server
The pages, internal links, and applications are checked one final time to ensure the site works as expected.

28-days of Free Support

Free support period
The 28-day free support period starts as soon as the final checks are complete. The 28-days of free support give the client time to find and report errors that we will fix free of charge on the condition that all four instalments (100%) of the fee has been paid.
