This web design blog covers artificial intelligence, business networking, marketing, e-commerce, online selling, web design, website development, site hosting, and website support. It’s written with non-technical people in mind and covers issues of special relevance to business owners based in Auckland, New Zealand.
The One Stop Web Shop is based in West Auckland and services customers in Henderson, Sunnyvale, New Lynn, Glen Eden, Mount Roskill, Upper Harbour (including Hobsonville, Westgate, Greenhithe, Rosedale, and Albany), the North Shore, Rodney, and the Auckland CBD.
Hello, I am Wayne Davies, the author of most of the content you’ll find in this web design blog.
I’m an enthusiastic business networker, and lead the Bx Networking Group for Auckland’s North Shore. Click here for my contact details.
I’ve been designing, building, and producing apps and content for websites for 27 years. If something can be done on a website, I’ve probably done it at some point in my career.
I use this web design blog to publish my thoughts on a variety of subjects that relate to running and owning a small business in New Zealand, business networking in Auckland (North Shore, West Auckland, and the Auckland CBD), artificial intelligence (AI), web design, web development, and content creation.
Times are tough in New Zealand, and Kiwi business owners must support and help each other out. This is just as true in Auckland as it is in Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, or anywhere else in New Zealand.
One of the most effective ways to survive an economic downturn is through business networking. I’m the leader of Auckland’s North Shore Bx networking group.
If you’re based on the North Shore, Upper Harbour area, or in West Auckland, then feel free to visit us as my guest. And if you're based elsewhere in Auckland or Wellington, click here and find a local Bx group near you.
Your website is another way to attract people to your business. I use this web design blog to bring targeted visitors to my site. A blog is a great way to attract new visitors to your website, and I’m always amazed that more people aren't making use of this business tool.
Doesn’t it make sense to attract a new audience to your website? Would you like to implement a blog of your own, but aren’t sure how? Are you concerned about where the content will come from? As you can see from my web design blog, I’m a prolific content creator and can help you in several ways...
My web design blog tends to focus on education and information, but it doesn’t have to. Your blog can focus on anything you like, whether directly related to your business or not. It could even go on to become an income stream in its own right.
My web design blog provides me with targeted visitors sent to my site by search engines and other services that index sites and refer people to them. You might be put off by the thought of having to write new articles on a regular basis, but these days, it’s not even necessary to write the content yourself.
As you can see, I write content for my web design blog, and I can easily do the same for you. What matters is not so much how frequently you publish new content, but how regularly. Your content should be created with specific search engine objectives in mind, but even if it’s not, having a blog is better than not having one.
Give me a call and let’s chat about how we can go about getting you a blog that sends targeted visitors to your site, just as my web design blog brings my business to the attention of potential new clients to me.
Good question. After all, writing a blog is hard work. Even with the help of AI, somebody still has to come up with new ideas for this web design blog. And, often, the content produced by AI requires additional work to whip it into shape.
Often, I’ll start out by asking AI to suggest an article structure, or give me 5 article ideas for my web design blog. This will get me started, and I’ll take over from there.
In the end, the fact is that I maintain this web design blog because it brings me new clients, and I like writing. I can’t think of a single reason why I wouldn’t want a web design blog!
I do use LinkedIn (connect with me), as it happens, but I have a concern that building memberships on a third-party site leaves me prone to vagaries of their policies and the actions of malicious entities.
I produce content for my LinkedIn feed, and use it to attract interest both in business networking and for web design. But I don’t want to be wholly dependent on third parties. That’s why I also run this web design blog.
